1. Job Description

Title: Director of Administration and Finance

Area: Distribution of chemical products

Location: Mexico City

Reports to: General Director

Salary: $400K MXP/yr fixed + productivity bonus (potential to earn over $500K MXP/yr in the short term)


2. Profile

Education: Industrial Engineer, Chemical Eng, BS in Business Administration, MBA Highly Desirable

Experience: 5 yrs min as director of administration and finance in a company with sales of over $10 myn USD/yr

Experience in implementation and working with an ISO management system

Age: At least 30 yrs old

Languages: Highly proficient writing & verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish


3. Responsibilities

• Business administration of the company. Handle relationships with service suppliers (ie, banks, insurance providers, lawyers, supervise transportation and logistics suppliers)

• Manage and continuous improvement of the following processes: logistics (warehousing and transportation), invoicing, accounting, IT, treasury (accounts payable and receivable, banks), office management, human resource management.

• Manage a team of 15 people efficiently to work as a team through setting goals, procedures and measuring performance through the ISO system. Evaluate and make career plans for your team.

• Optimize operating costs

• Link operations to the company’s vision by working jointly with the commercial arm.

• Participate as an active member on the company’s directive committee. Report periodically on progress to the board of directors.

• Maximize long term profit for the company by delivering on the assigned tasks and reporting needs (financial statements, financing needs, adapting the ERP to the company’s requirements, personnel training)

• Understand and comply with local product related regulations (ie, SAT, IMSS, etc)

• Preparation and follow up of operating budget

• Responsible of company tax returns’ revision and presentation to authorities


4. Required

• Thinking and acting as a business owner

• Proven track record of success leading teams

• Leadership abilities to manage a diverse team and achieve successful team work and development.

• Negotiation skills with both internal and external customers and suppliers

• Knowledge of ISO 9000 management system, preferably as management representative
• Work permit for the US (citizenship or residency) highly desirable
